The Boeing Global Services Support & Specialty Engineering organization is seeking Experienced Technical Data Designers and Technical Data Designer Leads to support the F-15 Structures Technical Publications team. These roles will be responsible for developing and maintaining all technical publication elements to include theory of operations, flight manuals, testing/troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdown, removal/installation procedures and schematic diagrams for all levels of maintenance for new or fielded major equipment systems. This position will be based in Hazelwood, MO. Relocation Benefits are available based on candidate eligibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops all publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a new or fielded major equipment system or multiple sub systems
Collects, researches and analyzes source data. Identifies source data inaccuracies and takes corrective action
Develops technical publication project plan, budget and baseline schedules.
Conducts peer reviews of completed publication elements.
Participates in or conducts customer technical and program reviews.
This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Hazelwood, MO) This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years’ worth of general working level knowledge of tactical aircraft structural systems, subsystems, and components including Canopy, Piping, Power Plant, Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Scheduled Maintenance, etc. This includes the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces.
2+ years of experience using either military or civilian aircraft maintenance technical publications
2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
3+ years of experience in either military or civilian aircraft maintenance
3+ years of experience authoring aircraft technical
3+ years of experience with reading and interpreting vendor data and Engineering drawings, 3D models, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
