Summary:
We are seeking a tax preparer for the 2022 tax season. Are you looking for a smaller firm with dedicated employees, flexible work schedule, challenging work and people with a passion for tax work? If so, we are the company for you! We are situated between Boston and Providence, RI with commuter rail access to both cities. We are looking to expand our team with individuals who can work independently and organized, have the ability to establish priorities and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Duties include but not limited to:
- Preparation of individual income tax returns
- Possible preparation of fiduciary income tax returns (based on experience)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literacy with proficient use of Microsoft Excel is essential
- Experience using professional accounting software (CCH Prosystem fx tax software a plus) & digital workflow
- Ability to work independently at a fast pace and exercise discretion and personal judgment
License:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
COVID-19 considerations:
Tax Preparer will have own office to work out of during the day. Social distance precautions are in place. Workspace is sanitized regularly.
