Job Description:

What we’re looking for in you

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• Certification as Surgical Technolgoist as certified by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Demonstrate knowlege of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods
• Supportive, learning attitude
• Practical medical knowledge of surgical procedures and application of skills in patient care
• Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer &
  Health Care Provider)

The purpose of the Surgery Technologist role

As a Certified Surgery Technologist (CST), you will practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and caring. The CST must possess surgical conscious and knowledge of procedures and instrumentation.
