How we LEAD:
Universal Music Group is seeking a Stock Plan Administrator who will be responsible for end-to-end administration of the Company’s international equity program and employee stock purchase plan, partnering with Finance, Tax, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal and third-party agents to ensure compliance with governing stock plan documents and internal processes along with state, federal and foreign regulations and securities laws. The Stock Plan Administrator will also assist with various ad-hoc equity-related projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will provide a superior level of customer service with a high level of accuracy, ability to focus on detail, and is a person who takes pride in delivering high quality work on a timely basis. This position will report to the Vice President, US and Executive Compensation.
This position will be primarily remote-based from any US location.
How you'll CREATE:
  • Administer the Company’s international equity program and employee stock purchase plans, processing transactions in compliance with governing stock plan documents and internal processes along with state, federal and foreign regulations and securities laws;
  • Develop and deliver timely documentation and communications related to stock awards;
  • Work with payroll and tax to ensure compliance for all equity related tax requirements;
  • Work closely with the human resource business partners to monitor all cross-border movement for equity and tax implications and take appropriate actions;
  • Maintain all participant and equity award related data in a third-party database and periodically validate accuracy of database information;
  • Generate and review for accuracy, recurring and ad-hoc reports for Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources, Internal Audit and Legal teams for purposes of but not limited to stock ownership, financial, and other shareholder disclosures;
  • Maintain proper documentation of equity-related policies, procedures and controls;
  • Serve as primary contact for audit requests associated with stock plan administration;
  • Manage and track 10b5-1 plans;
  • Manage company blackouts;
  • Reconcile the shares authorized, issued, and outstanding throughout the year;
  • Serve as primary liaison with the Company’s brokerage firm to maintain employee equity accounts;
  • Support employee understanding of and answer questions on equity awards and stock accounts; in doing so, develop, maintain, and deliver educational materials and customized resources on the Company’s intranet site;
  • Provide excellent customer service while prioritizing and satisfying multiple questions and requests from partners, senior management and others supporting the understanding of stock plan services, overall plan design and individual transactions;
  • Keep up to date on current legislative developments and adjust administration process as needed;
  • Assist with special projects and transactions as assigned.
