Holley Steel is a structural & miscellaneous steel fabricator seeking a motivated Detailing Manager / Steel Detailer.

The right person for this position is someone with extensive steel detailing experience in steel using programs like SDS/2 or Tekla Structures. The person will lead all detailing. The person will coordinate all work with outside detailers, coordinate RFI questions between outside detailers-Holley Steel-customer, coordinate and organize all drawing files, take part in any field measurements, and also be able to perform detailing as necessary in house. Must be able to work within steel model to ensure outside detailers are following company standards and procedures. This person will be responsible for final review of submittal packages to ensure quality, standards, and procedures to help keep project moving in a timely manner. While this position will predominantly work with outside detailers, the Detailing Manager may have to handle detailing on some projects themselves as needed.

This position requires to be in the main office office 3-5 days a week as it will require being able to work with other team members and to also work with shop members on an immediate basis as needed. While hybrid office/remote position will be considered for the right individual, this position will require time at the main office regularly. Holley Steel is not interested in any fully remote candidates, outside companies/detailers, or oversea companies/detailers for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee detailing on all projects
• Model and drawing review
• Participate in project kickoffs and checklists with other team members
• Become throughly familiar with contract drawings, company standards, and ensure they are being met in model and drawings
• Write RFI as required and coordinate with vendors
• Work with shop members to answer any questions that come up during fabrication stage like missing dimensions, material, or needed drawings
• Visit job sites if field measurements are required
• Model and detail projects that is not sent to outside detailers
• Work with fabrication shop supervisor to assist with quality control when not specifically working on detailing projects

Qualifications:

• 5+ years steel detailing experience. Previous shop or field experience is a plus
• 5+ years experience using SDS/2 or Tekla Structures (Preferably SDS/2)
• Extensive knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel, AISC standards, OSHA safety requirements, and building code standards
• Knowledge of connection design
• US citizen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
