Met-Con, Inc. is a structural metals fabricator located in the Space Coast area of Central Florida.
Summary
- The Steel Detailer will be responsible for creating fabrication shop drawings from start to finish. Products fabricated in our shop include building structures, and miscellaneous components in steel, aluminum and stainless steel.
General Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in detailing and checking structural steel, miscellaneous iron, and stairs and rails.
- Must have up to date SDS/2 experience.
- The successful candidate must set up a job, model, create drawings, and generate electronic files.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam and Autocad.
- Must be able to follow detailing standards.
- Working knowledge of fabrication and erection procedures is preferred.
- Work as part of a team to ensure achievement of Company goals.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
Applicant will be asked to provide samples of work and provide references. Applicant will be asked to demonstrate ability at time of interview.
