Job Overview
The Sr. Director Commercial Execution leads the execution phase of the commercial plan once the channel-specific commercial strategies and plans have been developed. The Sr. Director leads a team broken into four different segments. The Portfolio Management segment leads and manages the day-to-day portfolio strategy for the company. This group works closely with parent company leadership to understand proposals for new product innovation and brand extensions. The leadership in this segment serves as the CCCI representative on system-wide governance committees to make recommendations on products we should introduce and retire from the CCCI portfolio. The Picture of Success segment works closely with CCCI customer directors on their monthly communications to front-line sales associates, ensuring adherence to the commercial strategies and the use of merchandising standards. This team is responsible for publishing CCCI’s channel-specific merchandising standards. The Commercial Execution tracking segment creates strategies to advance execution through reporting initiatives. The final segment is the Space Planning Segment. This group ensures the merchandising standards developed by the Picture of Success team are successfully implemented across the entire network of customers where CCCI has been awarded category captaincy. The Sr. Director of Commercial Execution works closely with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure alignment across all segments and that execution outputs are understood and embraced by the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads the company portfolio management process and routines (PMC). Holds team members accountable for adherence to process and timelines.
- Leads the development of the company merchandising standards and use of those standards in chain-specific monthly PicOS frontline sales communications. Implements processes to ensure parent company “big bet” initiatives are incorporated into the monthly communications.
- Leads the commercial execution tracking & reporting process. Incorporates reporting outputs into specific routines with Sales / Service and Customer Management departments. Generates feedback created from review of execution and reviews it with channel commercialization leadership.
- Leads the implementation of the CCCI merchandising standards across key chain customers where CCCI has been awarded category captaincy. Establish process to ensure compliance.
- Works closely with parent company personnel on key bottler capabilities projects. Serves as the CCCI contact for commercial projects that enhance bottler capabilities.
- Leads key annual CCCI projects including SVI (share of visual inventory) and RED (Right Execution Daily) surveys.
- Leads the tracking and reporting process for CCCI frontline field incentive programs. Ensures updates are communicated in a timely manner.
- Directs, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to motivate internal and external constituents to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to translate data into clean and influential output reporting.
- Organization and attention to detail are both crucial to success.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other Sr. Leaders while developing and achieving measurable objectives that drive business results.
- Ability/Skill to develop rigid processes, then hold others accountable for adhering to those processes and timelines.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team through positivity and influence are imperative.
- Past experience in team leadership strategy development. Frontline sales and management experience in the beverage industry is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge acquired through 7 or more years work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or similar applicable field
