ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SpringHill Company is seeking an experienced, creative, detail-oriented Social Producer Editor with a specialty in short-form content creation who will be responsible for developing, producing, directing, and overseeing post-production on several short-form videos and shows across the SpringHill brand. The ideal candidate puts the unique style of short-form social content creation first in order to empower our unique style of storytelling and is fluent in all things social. You are comfortable on set, working hand in hand with talent, conceiving ideas, writing scripts, budgets, shooting, and editing videos. They have a strong passion for and understanding of all things entertainment - music, fashion, art, film, TV, etc - and can combine their passion and insights with brand strategy to influence opportunities that enable SpringHill to connect and engage with our audience. This team produces a lot of content at a quick pace, so the ability to juggle various projects at once is key. The individual that excels in the role thrives in working in a fast-paced, nimble environment and loves being a jack of all trades alongside a highly collaborative cross-functional team of strategists, creatives, and editors. This role will report to the Director of Social and work closely across several teams within The Springhill Co.

REPORTS TO:
Director, SH Social

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Produce and edit launch spots & trailers, on-air promos, long-form video content, social media content, and other assets across multiple platforms
    • Work with content producers, project managers, marketing team, graphic designers, and other departments across the organization to shepherd projects through the entire production process.
    • Write promo scripts, copy, and other marketing material as needed.
    • Create and/or oversee retagged and resized assets as needed to ensure creative consistency across all platforms throughout the lifespan of a campaign.
    • Develop innovative shoot ideas for launch campaigns, including social components.
    • Assist in the preparation for and production of live-action shoots
    • Partner with the Social team for brainstorming exercises and overall campaign development.
    • Execute against briefs and create highly engaging social-first content for primary (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) and secondary (Facebook, YouTube) social platforms
    • Assist with the development of social concepts and create briefs as needed
    • Represent social on the ground, on set, and with talent
    • Help to create and manage a consistent pipeline of engaging social content tailored to our channels
    • Proficiency in creating content for and publishing to all major social platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and awareness of emerging trends and platforms
    • Brainstorm and produce new content types and templates
    • Maintain production schedules for assigned content. Work against the project due dates and budgets to deliver as needed
    • Advise on cultural and social media trends, best practices, and more to inform the creative direction of our content and brands
    • Be the final QC eyes on all projects publishing to our platforms to ensure all content fits the overall creative tone, look, feel, and voice for each franchise and/or branded partner requirements
    • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Extensive knowledge of the internet and culture is a must
    • Prior experience working with talent and familiarity with production environments
    • Hands-on production and editing skills
    • Some proficiency with short-form/social content production, from shooting, editing, and post-production work is preferable
    • Experience in lighting and sound capture techniques a plus
    • Experience creating original and engaging content for Instagram, Twitter & TikTok (preferably for brands and/or for significant personal following)
    • Creative thinker who can identify emerging trends and bend them to a brand voice
    • Ability to write and pitch ideas in a fast-paced environment plus a strong desire to own and shepherd a project from beginning to end
    • Deep knowledge of multicultural entertainment, film, TV, music, and fashion
    • Flexible and adaptable in the ever-changing digital landscape, ability to work nights and weekends when needed
    • Deep interest and knowledge in social media and the newest updates and tools
    • Good technical production skills in video, sound editing/design, and graphics, with a specialization in creating content for social
    • Highly encouraged backgrounds include do-it-yourself creators, social experts, producers with a strong background in social, and people who have built personal brands.
    • A positive attitude, excellent editing skills, a creative mindset, and leadership qualities.
    • Self-starter who is assertive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
    • Must be able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • A strong understanding of content creation for social media platforms including best practices, specs, and execution
    • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills when working across teams
    • Have an interest in entertainment and the state of our art and industry trends
    • A working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and able to navigate graphic toolkits and apply them to edits.
    • Proficiency in using Avid and/or Premiere editing software
    • Experience in using different types of camera bodies
$65 - $75 a year
