We are looking for a Site Electrical Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the safety, compliance and performance of all electrical systems and infrastructure at HALEON. This includes design, maintenance and operation, whilst conforming to Statutory and Corporate health, safety and environmental standards. In this role you will focus specifically on electrical infrastructure, providing expert knowledge in the fields of electrical power, infrastructure, instrumentation and control.

This role is primarily responsible for the infrastructure of the site, meaning that we are looking for candidates with that experience (including from other industries such as construction), as opposed to specific experience of manufacturing lines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide expert services in the field of Electrical power.
• Management of minor works for safety, efficiency and cost saving projects.
• Building and maintaining a robust electrical safety management program for the site.
• Leading the site Utilities electrical maintenance program.
• Participating in the HALEON global Electrical Engineering network.
• Providing expert services in the field of electrical power, instrumentation, and control.
• Management of minor works for safety, efficiency and cost saving projects.
• Assisting with the selection of contractors and suppliers, to ensure that goods and services meet HALEON standards and the sites performance objectives.
• Managing and overseeing high voltage switching operations on site.
• Advising on the application of best practice techniques to improve electrical performance.
• Contributing to the development and delivery of electrical safety training programs for the site.
• Leading electrical infrastructure lifecycle and investment strategy.
• Developing and implementing electrical policy and procedures, covering intervention with electrical systems by engineering staff (HALEON and contractors).
• Working collaboratively with project engineers to assure appropriate electrical standards are included in packaged equipment specifications.
• Maintaining electrical system documentation such as drawings and asset records, including SAP maintenance records.
• Being conversant with applicable electrical standards regarding selection, installation, operations, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Demonstrates leadership and initiative during troubleshooting and/or problem-solving activities.
• Provides guidance to technicians in mechanical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation and automated systems experience to support troubleshooting activities. If necessary, coordinates troubleshooting support from other areas such as HVAC, Utilities, Instrumentation, Automation, Machine Shop and Contractors.
• Provides support for the root-cause analysis of equipment related failures.
• Participates and supports any technical investigation report using root cause analysis tools such as M1, DIMAIC, etc.
• Provides support for capital projects which includes but not limited to the introduction of new equipment, new products, new processes, changes in process, formulation changes, equipment upgrades and improvements.
• Supports validation activities of equipment, product or processes as required which includes installation, EHS inspection, drawings verification, instrumentation verification, measurements and/or functional testing.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or "BSEE" from an Accredited Institution
• Must posses Licensed Professional Engineer certification
• Experience working in Electrical Engineering on a Manufacturing Site
• 5+ years of experience of Electrical Infrastructure (Transmission and Distributions Lines, Transformers, Substations, Emergency Power Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Motor Control Center (MCC), and Distribution panels)
• Experience implementing Electrical Safety programs
• Experience in switching high voltage equipment accompanied by a recognized switching and operations qualification
• 4+ years People-Management experience required
• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) with proficiency in reading / writing in English / Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• Hands-on experience of continuous improvement projects
• Understanding of selection and maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas
• Incorporated or Chartered Engineer statusProfessional License
