JOB SUMMARY:

The Signet Monitoring Center is a 24-hour operation responsible for protecting Signet’s assets (all banners, people and product). The operators view live data/camera footage and make split-second decisions regarding the appropriate course of action in criminal and/or violent situations to ensure safety and security. They also perform video compliance audits to ensure compliance with safety and security policies and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide a high level of safety and protection 24 hours-a-day for all store personnel and customers (all banners) through visual monitoring. Exercise independent judgement when reviewing, assessing, determining and enacting appropriate actions such as law enforcement and/or mall security dispatch to ensure team member safety and asset protection.
  • Compliance Audits. Conduct audits at store level related to safety and security policy, procedures, protocols and report/present findings to leadership.
  • Review and approve camera layouts completed by vendor and provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting and/or, if needed, escalate issues to alarm vendor(s) to ensure security systems are operational for all store locations
  • System Audits (of security equipment such as alarms, cameras, motion detectors). Audit various security equipment at store level to determine appropriate functionality and open repair tickets where necessary. Also, support Store Maintenance (with emergency issues such as store gate malfunctions, flooding, power outage) by covering after-hours issues to minimize and mitigate risks to company assets.
  • Act as a liaison and serve as a point of contact for/with local law enforcement agencies and provide data to Police Departments, RLPMs, HR and Legal as requested for investigations, lawsuits and criminal proceedings
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

WORK SCHEDULE:

Training Schedule:

Monday thru Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

After Training:

10:00 am to 6:00 pm with Tuesday and Wednesday off.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: High School Diploma/Some College preferred

Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Alarm monitoring, customer service, PD Dispatch

Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 2 Years

Technical/Other Skills Required: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and alarm systems preferred. Excellent communication skills.
