Shipping Clerk- Dayton, NJ

Career Opportunity:

· Responsible for coordinating daily dispatch to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment methods, while meeting customer due dates, dock times and delivery requirements

· Partner with Customer Service and Production on daily shipping requirements to ensure product shipments meet customer needs

· Daily completion of all inventory transactions related to the shipping and receiving department

· Verify all counts, quantities and descriptions of materials being shipped and received.

· Enter data into Kiwi computer application, as well as customer inventory systems as needed

· Verify all load reports and ensure we have an accurate record of materials being shipped

How you will impact WestRock:

· Approach all aspect of work with safety as the highest priority

· Contribute to shipping department work-flow to satisfy customer demands with on-time delivery

· Participate in trailer utilization efforts to reduce costs

What you need to succeed:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Strong administrative, communication and computer skills

· Experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment

· Must be able to pass forklift certification training

· Must be able to operate motorized vehicle and possess a valid state driver’s license

· Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

· Knowledge of Kiwi or shipping/receiving computer applications a plus

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· RELIABILITY/ EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL TO THIS ROLE
