About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Service Technician in office to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role Coordinates field services for commissioning, start-up and repairs, evaluate warranty cases, and support technical cases for the internal and external customers related to the WEG Energy products, Large Motors and Generators. It is expected that a Service Technician be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities for the assigned product group with little supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Based in the office, this position is primarily a technical support role for warranties and sales of services and parts.
  • Provide technical support to customers, warranty evaluation, and coordination of field services (commissioning and start-up, preventive maintenance, general troubleshooting).
  • Exhibit effective customer service skills, projecting a positive corporate image.
  • Promote the sale of spare parts and maintenance programs for Motors and Generators in the field.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the installation, startup, commissioning and maintenance of Large Motors and Generators.
  • Coordinate work efforts with Accredited Service Centers and other third parties.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:

  • High School or GED required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Knowledge / training:

  • Installation and Troubleshooting of Electric Machines and auxiliary systems.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Negotiation basics.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience of related experience.
