Service Director Job at Partnerships for People
Partnerships for People, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join in the mission of partnering with people with disabilities to help build relationships and develop skills to live and work as valued members of their community.
Responsibilities include:
- The Service Director, under the leadership of the Director of Residential & Individual Support Services, provides oversight to the Individual Supports (Residential) Program. The Director is responsible for the supervision and compliance oversight of all residential programs, including all aspects of program operations so that program outcomes, financial goals, and personnel requirements are achieved. Through strong leadership the Director will work to expand opportunities for community living and community support services for individuals with disabilities.
- The Service Director will follow through with all job duties consistent with the agency mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
- The Service Director must comply with all regulations and requirements which govern the services Partnerships for People, Inc. delivers with funds received through the N.J. Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities via Medicaid.

Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or an appropriate combination of education and experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated supervisory, training, or mentoring experience
- Demonstrated leadership qualities such as dependability, resourcefulness, and initiative
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and access to properly insured vehicle
- Successfully completion of pre-employment process, including Background check and FBI clearances, MVR, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) and Drug Testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or an appropriate combination of education and experience
- At least two (2) years of human service experience, preferably with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities including some combination of administration, staff supervision, employment services, and/or community engagement
- Marketing experience
