For our US operations of Tradin Organics, we are looking for a:

Senior Trader Cocoa

As Sr. Trader Cocoa you will be is the linking pin between our suppliers, key customers and our commercial team. You are responsible for the trading activities and commercial performance of your products. You are the main point of information for the US sales team for the cocoa products’ group and coordinate activities with our head office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Next to that the Sr. Trader Cocoa is responsible for co-managing the US trading book and reporting positions’ exposure to the relevant trader in the Amsterdam office. Your high energy, drive, creativity and outstanding communication skills will be prevailing to further develop the business to achieve continued growth of the business. The Sr. Trader Cocoa will be part of our “CS desk” in the Netherlands, which consists of the categories Sugars, Cocoa and Sweeteners.

Your responsibilities and objectives:

• Co-ordinate contacts, provide pricing updates, market reports, etc. with US sales team offices
• Oversee the product complaint handling and ensure optimal customer satisfaction
• Co-oversee the purchase and sales of the products
• Participate in setting budgets for cocoa products
• Keep track of international market developments and actively seeks new trade opportunities and product developments
• Understand and update the cocoa position and trading book in order to keep the exposure risk at an acceptable level and coordinate the positions with the Amsterdam office on daily basis
• Keeps track of the results and suggests appropriate corrective action plans (if needed, in coordination with NL office)
• Visit customers/suppliers regularly; participates relevant assemblies/trade shows
• Contribute to a smooth cooperation with the supporting disciplines

• Minimum: Bachelor degree in commerce/international trade, Agricultural diploma is a big plus
• 5+ years of experience in a comparable function
• Affinity with ingredients or agricultural commodities
• Strong written and verbal skills, ability to concisely communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive teams
• Experience in an import/export environment and successful customer service experience
• Up to date relevant legal knowledge (trade and liability related)
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Stress resistance and flexibility, prioritization skills and decisiveness
• Command of Spanish or other languages are a plus (Proficiency in English is a must)
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with ERP systems (working knowledge of Axapta is a plus) and the organic industry are a plus
