Senior Systems Administrator - LYRASIS - FULLY REMOTE

Salary Range: $82,382 - $123,572 Reports to: Sr. Engineering Lead

The role:

The Senior System Administrator develops, deploys, and maintains technical infrastructure and software in support of Digital Technology Services (DTS) hosting services. Responsibilities include technical infrastructure management; development and deployment of supporting internal systems and tooling; and development, deployment, testing and documentation of hosted open source systems including, but not limited to ArchivesSpace, CollectionSpace, DSpace and DuraCloud. Duties also include working with project managers and client stakeholders to understand and refine project functional requirements and respond to client support requests.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of Linux system administration, software engineering, release engineering, or configuration management.
• Ability to perform complex architectural changes such as through the integration of new technologies or migration of cloud providers.
• Advanced Knowledge of and experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Docker, Packer & Terraform.
• Advanced Knowledge of and experience deploying to VPS and / or cloud providers such Amazon Web Services.
• Proficiency using cloud services to augment hosted services operations, such as using cloud functions and build / CI pipelines.
• High comfort level with Linux, a shell prompt, scripting (Python, Ruby preferred), PostgresSQL/SQL and database administration.
