As the Senior Project Manager, Technology, you will lead, execute, and deliver XPO’s most important Finance Systems Projects. You will manage all aspects of an SDLC process including project timelines, scope, budgets, resources, and delivery; and troubleshoot problems, implement solutions, and monitor the effectiveness of the systems that keep XPO running smoothly.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Lead, execute, and deliver XPO’s most important finance-driven projects
• Follow standard project methodology and a defined SDLC process to lead the project team in creating industry-changing applications for the industry
• Provide regular status updates to team members and stakeholders
• Manage all aspects of an SDLC process including project timelines, scope, budgets, resources, and delivery
• Coordinate with all business and IT stakeholders to deliver projects
• Work to continually improve the project methodology, SDLC process, deliverable templates, etc.
• Act as mentor and coach to other project managers on the team

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 2+ years’ experience in the application of Agile/Waterfall project management methodology in financial system implementation/integration, and data management
• Proven experience managing projects using waterfall and agile methodologies
• Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex projects within budget and scope
• Expert knowledge with Project Management methodologies and tools
• Experience in Stakeholder management, effectively communicating out status and mitigating project risks in collaboration with the project team
• Ability to work autonomously, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business-related discipline (Master’s Degree preferred)
• 5+ years’ experience as IT Project Manager and PMP certified
• Experience leading implementations of financial systems
• Worked in the IT/Finance area of a logistics and or supply chain organization
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive a team of business and IT professionals
• Impeccable verbal and written communications skills to work effectively with senior stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems
