You will capture and manage Government service contracts. Lead other managers in support of the operational activities of the Mission Systems and Support Sector. Cost, schedule, and performance expectations must be carefully managed. The Sr. Program Manager must have a firm understanding of the structure of government contracts and how to administer them. Proposing and pricing various performance-based service contracts is an essential area of expertise. Strong background in recruiting hard-to-find professionals to join our team is also essential.

The salary range starts at $135,000+, negotiable. This is a hybrid position - must be local and able to work on-site once a week to meet with the customer and key personnel on the team.

Your duties as a Sr. Program Manager:

  • Responsible for the management of the assigned government program(s) in accordance with contract and corporate requirements.
  • Acts as a liaison with customers, executives, administrators, and operational employees to ensure contract performance.
  • Reports in writing and orally to higher management; communicates directly with clients and/or other contractor personnel and effectively allocates resources.
  • Develops and maintains budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Interprets complex client requirements and interacts closely with the client and subordinates to prepare project plans, procedures and proposals.
  • Manages and maintains development, production, and delivery standards--ensuring project assignments are met and completed as directed.
  • Coaches and mentors other managers on quality contract execution.
  • Acquires and oversees resources to complete projects.
  • Enforces work standards and reviews/resolves discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Maintains project documentation, providing assessments of technical and non-technical project issues.
  • Leads the operation, defines clear roles and responsibilities at all levels.
  • Maintains sound and executable contracts.
  • Develops the pipeline for future projects.
  • Manages the capture of new projects.
  • Writes detailed technical proposals and formulates pricing for potential projects.
  • Ensures a safe and healthy working environment for our employees.
  • Submits timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Manages and communicates program risks and challenges.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

To be considered, you will have a:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline preferred. In lieu of degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Minimum of five (10) years relevant Program Management experience is required.
  • Minimum of three (5) years relevant DoD program experience at the Program Manager level in one of the following disciplines: Professional Services Contracts, Engineering/IT Contracts, and Health Services Contracts
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience responding to government Requests for Proposals (RFP).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Additional skills to be considered:

  • Ability to develop comprehensive technical plans, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Skilled in pricing and forecasting complex projects.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task across multiple programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
