About the role

The Stakeholder Communications Manager is responsible collaborative communication efforts with business leaders and teams to create complex communications plans, align messaging, and implement strategies and tactics to positively enhance engagement and brand reputation among key internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to identify, develop and execute communications strategies that reflect business objectives and drive stakeholder engagement
  • Develop presentations, papers and talking points for senior leaders in support of the company’s government affairs activities
  • Develop statements, press releases and other communications to reflect company’s position on various proactive and reactive matters; manage proactive media pitching and response to incoming media requests
  • Manage media and key stakeholder monitoring activities; generate ad hoc news alerts and regular news flow reports for internal stakeholders
  • Help lead issues management and crisis preparedness activities for situations that could adversely impact the company
  • Support development and execution of a digital channels strategy for social, blog and website

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in communications, including media relations Superior writing skills with obsessive attention to detail (please be prepared to provide samples)

  • Excellent interpersonal and effective listening skills
  • Ability to assess/understand varied audience needs and points of view
  • Ability to capture and write in stakeholder ‘voice’, and varied tones
  • Ability to make technical information clear and easy to understand through storytelling
  • Proven cross-functional partner with the ability to influence up and across the organization
  • Strong project management skills: highly organized, results-focused and timeline sensitive
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office 365 suite (including SharePoint), video tools and social media platforms

Typical Physical Demands

  • Regularly uses hands to manipulate phones, computer keyboard and similar tools. Ability to view computer screens, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment, for extended periods of time. Sit and stand to perform administrative work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.
  • Work is performed in an office environment. Employee must travel throughout the company footprint as required.
