CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Senior Financial Systems & Process Specialist to join our CNP Financial Systems & Process Team, located in Evansville, IN.
Being a team player within the Financial Systems group to help in supporting finance & accounting processes and systems-related initiatives, including but not limited to: implementing new technology to advance finance & accounting capabilities, leading financial technology upgrade projects and related process improvements, working through technology integration and disintegration activities for financial systems, providing ongoing training and support for financial systems currently in place.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Be responsible for supporting functional staff (end-users) in developing enhanced processes through use of financial systems.
- Support transformational projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement mindset and develop innovative processes, procedures and/or tools to support analysis of business performance.
- Develop business training and process documentation on supported systems and processes.
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders under areas supported, Finance/Accounting, IT and organizational leadership.
- Seek and identify financial opportunities and risks for various stakeholder areas supported.
Your background includes:
- Requires a bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting, Business Administration, CIS or related field.
- Requires 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
A bonus to have:
- Professional Certification and/or MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
- Experience working in an environment exposing the candidate to project management, process improvement system development, training and/or change management preferred.
