Job Description
We are GDIT. The people supporting and securing some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country.
Responsibilities: reallocates resources to maximize benefits. Prepares and delivers presentations on data base management systems (DBMS) concepts. May provide daily supervision and direction to support staff.
This position requires ten years' experience, of which at least eight years must be specialized.
MA/MS - 8 years of which 6 years must be specialized experience
No Degree - 13 years of which 11 years must be specialized experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated expertise in technical leadership of Cloud Readiness Assessment and Disposition, Defining Target State Cloud Architecture and roadmap, Migration of on-premise legacy systems, and Operations and continued Modernization of Hybrid Cloud hosted infrastructure and applications.
Experience with migration of at least one on-premise mainframe Legacy System to AWS is must. Expert knowledge of Mainframe Database Administration such as IBM DB2, Data Management, Data Modeling, Transformation, Migration, Configuration of on-premise mainframe Database and data to AWS using Cloud Native Services, Data Management Pipelines, Open-Source and Industry products. Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps methodologies. Experienced with automating operations and workflow procedures for data transformations.
