This role can be 100% remote.
The Senior Brand Manager, B2C Pet Health products for Covetrus Proprietary Brands, North America will be responsible for leading the portfolio strategy, new product development roadmap, and ultimate commercial success of Covetrus Proprietary Branded animal health & wellness products within both traditional B2B distribution, as well as consumer-direct B2C channels. This role will be responsible for defining & implementing best-in-class consumer brand strategies to evolve Covetrus’ position within the broader animal health market while maintaining the company’s current B2B professional positioning & value proposition. The successful candidate will adopt a ‘general manager’ mentality & assume broad responsibilities to move key initiatives forward, achieve performance targets, and manage through risks & challenges to the portfolio. They will be self-motivated, ambitious, and carry the ability to offer innovative solutions to complex problems. The Senior Brand Manager of Health & Wellness will also serve as a Brand Ambassador for Global Proprietary Brands, representing our brands, products, team & mission both internally & externally through the organization & industry, respectively.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for overall product mix, growth strategy, NPD pipeline, and market performance of Covetrus Proprietary Brands Health & Wellness products portfolio.
  • Develops & implements a bifurcated portfolio strategy to launch brands & products, as well as capture market share, through Covetrus’ traditional in-clinic distribution channel, as well as expand into direct-to-consumer categories & channels to serve the greater Pet Health market.
  • Maintains an optimized portfolio of products by evaluating product lines by category to identify opportunities and recommend actions that enhance volume, customer penetration, channel expansion and overall profitability
  • Responsible for New Product Development pipeline (innovation & renovation) - category strategy & tactical new product launches; responsible for defining go to market positioning / competitive targeting / price strategy for products in respective portfolios
  • Leads Covetrus Proprietary Brands strategy & product roadmap in key Health & Wellness categories like Nutraceuticals, Treats, Grooming, Dental Care, and more
  • Owner of critical projects & initiatives related to the Covetrus Proprietary Branded Health & Wellness portfolio; interfaces with all functions throughout the end-to-end development and launch of initiatives (including Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Procurement, Finance, and Sales Operations) to deliver projects within the specified time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Recommends & contributes to development of commercial campaigns to drive portfolio growth, including working with cross functional team of Sales, Marketing and Brand stakeholders
  • Effectively integrates business plans with those of key cross-functional peer leaders to align activities across the organization.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the business to make decisions based on the unique needs of our consumer and/or the category.
  • Performs regular and ad-hoc data analysis to assess product & portfolio performance and makes recommendations based on business insights
  • Serves as SME on Brand value propositions / rights to win / reasons to believe
  • Serves as SME on products & categories within brand portfolio; develops tools & resources to optimize portfolio success
  • Provides leadership & direction in moments of crisis/risk management for the brand portfolio
  • Responsible for monthly Financial & KPI tracking on performance & updates on key initiatives/activities
  • Leads and assists in other projects and performs other duties as assigned.
