Compensation: $18.25 / hour (increases to $19.25 / hour after successful completion of 90 days of employment)

Job Summary:

This is the premier gated community in North Scottsdale. We are looking for candidates that are seeking a challenging and rewarding environment in the security field. We are looking for candidates that are Self-Motivated, Customer Service Oriented, Effective Communicators, professional appearance and attitude, and have flexible availability. Our Security Officer employees are tasked with access control and monitoring cameras.

Rover Duties and Skills:

• Controls Access to the community, screens visitors, assists visitors and employees to gain entrance into the community in an efficient manner to expedite entrance into the facility.
• Monitors entrance and exit points, operates gates and examines vehicle contents.
• Monitors remote areas using closed-circuit television, and operates remote access devices.
• Provides a level of confidence in which residents, employees, and visitors feel that their needs are being provided for in a courteous and professional manner.
• Communicates in a professional manner.
• Dispatching duties for emergencies and calls for service
• Community Patrol
• Traffic and Parking enforcement
• Emergency Response
• Alarm Response
• Domestic and Wild animal response
• Investigation, including Criminal and Accident
• Identification of safety hazards
• Maintain a flexible schedule and ability to work overtime if required, or in the event of an emergency.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a valid Unarmed Security Guard License in Arizona (We can help with this!)
• Willing to become CPR, AED and First Aid/EMR and respond to medical emergencies.
• Willing to capture and relocate wildlife and domestic animals.
• Willing to become Lidar certified and conduct traffic enforcement and issue violations.
• Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years or older for insurance purposes.
• Must be authorized to legally work in the United States.
• Submit to a comprehensive background check.
• Submit to drug screening 2X per year.
• Possess the minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Possess excellent telephone etiquette.
• Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form.
• Must be able to type 25 WPM.
• Must have a competent ability using computers

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

• Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice
• Military
• Fire Service
• Security with emphasis on access control, patrol/traffic control
• Medical, First Responder or EMT
• High-level customer service and interpersonal skills (Sales, Hospitality, etc.)
