SECURITY FRONT DESK GUARD - EVENING/NIGHTTIME POSITION 4:00PM-12:00AM 12:00 AM-8:00 AM BOCA RATON AREA

Must live in the local area!

Employees working from Front Desk and Garage check that cars are parked in assigned spaces and that all gates and doors in the garage and on the pool deck are locked. Carry the radio with you and report any incident to Lobby security for follow up.

Present an alert attitude. Security is your job. Your responsibility is guarding the premises to ensure that only authorized persons or vehicles enter the buildings; that a fire alert is maintained at all times in addition to the mechanical and electrical/electronic systems established in the complex; and that a medical alert is maintained to assist residents and others.

All service personnel, delivery men, contractors, etc. must sign in and out and be assigned badges. Explain to them that they must wear the badges at all times while in our building and that the number must be visible. Give them a temporary parking slip, to be placed on their dash board, then direct them to a contractor parking space. Check to make sure that they understand where they are to park.

Accept and sign for any packages and notify the proper recipient in a timely manner of their arrival. Have the recipient sign for the package,

NO ONE is allowed to go to an apartment without being announced by telephone.

Do not open the gate for owners. Allow them to use their garage opener. If they are unable to open the gates go to their car and try to determine why the opener was not used. Advised them to purchase one at the office or if the one they have doesn’t work offer to have it checked by Maintenance.

Check all vehicles to make sure that they are authorized to enter the garage. If they have no Whitehall South sticker, direct them to park on the upper deck, and to see the Lobby Security for necessary stickers or a temporary pass. Unauthorized vehicles should not be permitted entry to the garage. Owners or their guests are not allowed to park trucks in the garage except for loading or unloading. Only resident vehicles should be parked in the garage. Maids and nurses can park non-commercial vehicles, provided we have written authorization from the owner.

Ask service personnel what equipment and materials they will be transporting in the elevators. If pads are necessary, make certain maintenance personnel are notified to install them before admitting entrance to the elevator. Inform all service personnel that they are responsible for cleaning up any mess they make, provide them with a copy of the standard letter giving them instructions as to their conduct at Whitehall South. Remind them that they are responsible for removing trash and not to use our trash chutes or containers. Provide appropriate carts as needed.

Do not allow any unauthorized persons in the area. If anyone causes a disturbance when asked to leave, call the police for assistance. Dial 911 for police or medical assistance as needed. Do not become embroiled with persons when they are disruptive, intoxicated, or otherwise refuse to comply with instructions. Leave them to the police.

Help owners by sending elevators to the garage level when they arrive.

Do not permit truck and service vehicles to park in the tunnel area, or otherwise block owners from backing out, parking, etc. Owners access must not be impeded by thoughtless truck drivers or others.

Do not leave your post without relief except in emergencies. Use your common sense.

Do not permit the telephone to be used by others, or for personal use by security personnel. However, exercise discretion when an owner asks to use the telephone to communicate with the Manager or the office.
