Position: Screw Machine Operator

Shifts: 2nd

Signing Bonus: $1500 for 2nd (1/2 paid after 90 days & 180 days)

PURPOSE

The Screw Machine Operator produces screw machine parts by operating an Acme Screw Machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

• Must be able to maintain Acme screw machines (2) with minimal supervision.
• Adhering to quality standards.
• Maintains specifications by observing troubleshooting processes; adjusting, sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required being successful in this position.

• High school diploma/GED
• 2+ years of Acme Screw Machine Operation experience.
• Experience working with industrial electrical control systems
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing machinery
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work overtime hours
• Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.

• Constant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching.

• Spends all time indoors with occasional tasks outside in all-weather conditions for one hour less to assist in managing raw material.
