Homeland Security Protective Service is hiring one armed security supervisor to manage a team of school district security officers in the Raytown area.

• The Supervisor will be working days and evening shift
• Monday - Friday (some weekends - rare)
• 40+ hours
• $31.00 an hour (Salary)

This position manages 20 security officers with assistant supervisors (Corporals). This position has the rank of Sergeant.

This position requires the following but is not limited to -

• Responding to calls for service via patrol vehicle
• Proactive security enforcement work
• Managing and leading a security team in a school environment
• Monitoring radio traffic
• Scheduling work shifts, special assignments & training
• Communicating with school management and staff
• Uphold company policy and procedures
• Time Keeping

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of Law Enforcement background (Police)
• 5+ Previous Police Supervision
• Previous SRO experience preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to obtain a KCMO armed security license
• Previous management and leadership experience at the front-line level or beyond
• Drug free
• Smoke free
• Good work history
• Documented education in this field
• Above average ethical standards
• Ability to pass a thorough background check
• Good driving record
• Documented training in secondary weapons

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Sergeant position is provided a marked police Explorer take home car, two-way radios and uniforms. An office is provided for administrative work. This position leads the entire security staff during daytime operations while school is in session and additional events after school. A typical schedule is mostly Mon-Fri with weekends off. 4 patrol officers patrol the school district campuses including the supervisor. All other officers are assigned to schools for interior coverage.

10 paid vacation days per year. Vision and dental insurance are available at minimal cost. No traditional insurance benefits are available at this time. However, this is currently being researched. Bi-weekly pay via direct deposit.
