Description: Part-Time School Counselor
Job Summary:
- Help students attain an optimum level of personal and social adjustment;
- Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and supporting agencies concerning the needs and abilities of students;
- Ensure that all activities conform to Archdiocese guidelines;
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community;
- Work effectively with community organizations;
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned;
- Support the philosophy and root beliefs of St. Michael School.
Qualifications:
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Meet the professional requirements of the school, Archdiocese, and the State of Illinois.
- Experience working with a diverse population
- Relentless commitment to raising the academic and social-emotional achievement of ALL students
- Bachelor's degree in counseling or a closely related field
