Scale House Supervisor Job at FirstFleet Inc
FirstFleet is a national trucking company with 3000+ drivers. Our West Point, VA (Richmond) location is looking for a Scale House Supervisor
Work schedule Week 1: Sun – Tuesday / week 2 Sun - Wed. / 7 am - 5 pm
1. Manage Scale House operations and its employees.
2. Perform proper Yard check daily, or MWF at a minimum.
a. Confirm all trailers are in the system, new empty and OCC arrivals before you start.
b. Print the vehicles on site list
c. Check off each trailer on the list as you pass it. Make any necessary annotations.
d. Make sure the trailer is correctly tagged. Orange/green/yellow.
e. Open trailer doors for verify if loaded, or empty when needed.
f. Flag any trailer where there is visible damage
g. Once back at the office, make updates annotated on your sheet to the system.
3. Send out ready reports to Richmond office daily.
4. Send out a trailer count to Mill and Richmond daily.
5. Compile and send out Monthly rejected trailer report.
6. Coordinate with shifter manager.
7. Create the Scale House work schedule on a weekly basis.
8. Yard Jockey experience preferred, or willingness to learn in order to cover a jockey shift if needed.
9. Collect FF driver paperwork BOLs that are turned into the scale house. Open the loads up in TMW, add the FF# to the paperwork. Scan them into the system, hold them for delivery to Richmond office
10. Resolve conflicts with missing or incorrect Release #’s on OCC paperwork.
11. Keep the mill apprised of any damaged equipment on the yard, or Scale House.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
