Sandwich Artist/Barista Job at The Gardens Cafe

The Gardens Cafe is currently looking for an additional member to add to our team of skilled baristas as we expand our hours of operation. This role includes a base hourly pay of 14-16 per hour (DOE) plus tips.
About Us
The Gardens Cafe is a small coffee shop nestled inside "The Gardens" business complex located in Roseville, CA. We proudly serve coffee roasted by Black Sails Coffee Roasters, an award-winning roaster based locally in Rancho Cordova as well as a broad selection of high quality loose-leaf teas, Italian sodas, Red Bull mixers, and other craft drinks. To complement our drinks, we also serve sandwiches, liege waffles, and other small eats. The Gardens Cafe features artwork from local Sacramento artists and overlooks a beautiful pond/commercial landscape.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve craft food and beverages for our guests
- Take customers' food and beverage orders
- Operate cash registers, accept payments, and prepare sales invoices
- Clear away used dishes and cutlery from tables when customers are finished
- Clean and prepare tables for use
- Wash dishes, cutlery, and other bar/cooking utensils
- Clean cafe equipment such as coffee grinders, espresso machines, and ice makers
- Assist in organizing new stock while following FIFO procedure
- Provide backup to other cafe employees as needed
- Prefer someone with knowledge on coffee and use of equipment

Restaurant and/or coffee experience is strongly preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right individual.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
