DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Social Enterprise Director, the Operations Support Coordinator’s main responsibilities are to:
Provide coverage as needed at retail stores: This includes assisting with promotional sales, preparing for events, operating a point-of-sale system (POS), and supporting store operations.
Assist with Donation Center operations: This includes preparing sales and products for retail stores, allocating products for store promotions, maneuvering pallets of product, and assisting with large-scale event preparation.
Coordinate inventory and operations activities: This includes assisting with inventory management, identifying overstock, and recommending allocation to specific stores for promotional sales.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Support Coordinator is a support position that will cover absences at multiple locations (retail stores and donation center) weekly.
RETAIL
- Provide coverage for absences, as needed, at multiple retail locations. (Garden Grove, Laguna Niguel, Costa Mesa, and Tustin)
- Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions.
- Assist with sales, promotions, and special events at retail stores.
- Follow opening and closing duties for stores. Ensure proper keyholder responsibilities when doing so.
- Lead volunteers in general store tasks such as cleaning, stocking, and maintaining a welcoming, safe, and friendly environment.
- Price and stock merchandise.
- Allocate stock to proper store locations based on stock data and customer needs.
- Upsell and build connections with retail customers/resellers to determine pricing and sale channels.
DONATION CENTER
- Assist with promotion and sale preparations by creating product assortments based on directed needs.
- Assist with shipping and listing duties within an E-commerce operation.
- Rotate product as directed.
- Assist in preparation of large-scale events by allocating needed items and storing/managing them effectively.
- Adjust stock levels in tandem with store promotions, wholesalers, and events.
- Perform other duties as directed.

Flexibility – Be comfortable working at multiple locations with various staff members, be comfortable having your hub location changed based on staffing needs.
Sales – Successfully upsell to customers, encourage sales through interactions, relationships and stewardship, and aim to exceed sales revenue targets.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- Minimum three years of retail sales experience
- Manage and maintain inventory records and track/report store sales
- Computer and POS literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Skills Set:
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable
- Exceptional interpersonal (a drive for sales) and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent flexibility and teamwork
- Ability to coordinate and multi-task
- Proficient in managing and maintain inventory records and track/report store sales
- A team player approach and the ability to be effective in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and positive, upbeat “can do” attitude
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to move and stock garment racks approximately five feet in height
- Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work weekends and holidays and plan schedules in advance with payroll considerations
- May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Able to operate office equipment such as a computer, calculator, copy machine
