IU Health has an exciting opportunity available for a Retail Pharmacy Manager to lead a health system-based pharmacy operation within our New Bloomington Hospital location. The pharmacy is located on the IU Health Bloomington Hospital Campus, in Bloomington IN.
The Retail Pharmacy Manager oversee’ s and coordinates the daily retail pharmacy operations and its staff. Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes.
The Pharmacy Manager will assist the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations and will assist in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. This Manager is also responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.
This will be a 40 hour a week role with rotating Saturdays. Pharmacy hours of operation are: 7a-6p Monday-Friday, and Saturdays 8a-2p. (schedule is flexible) No nights, or holidays required.

- Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
- Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy.
- 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required
- Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Previous management experience preferred.
