Retail Floral Operations Assistant Job at Mona's Floral Creations
Mona’s Floral Creations has been serving the Tampa Bay area for over 40 years ad has been rated # Florist in Tampa by the Tampa Bay TImes. We are seeking an energetic, self motivated team member who is passionate about customer service and flowers. This is a full-time, year-round position with increased hours during seasonal holidays or when working special events.
Responsibilities
· Serve as team leader/mentor for daily, weekly and monthly operational tasks
· Act as primary assistant to shop owner with various administrative tasks
· Assists in taking customer’s orders and offers appropriate product/floral solutions
· Assist customers in person and through electronic channels
· Update company website, internal systems and social media platforms with current offerings and relevant products
· Maintain retail store area in a manner to promote sales while keeping space clean and orderly
· Ability to flex into various roles within the shop ranging from sales to delivery to maintenance
Maintains inventory for containers, hard goods and weekly floral needs
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 4+ years customer service/retail experience
· Must be comfortable making decisions
· Must be able to use problem solving techniques to arrive at appropriate solutions which may impact customer service, revenue or expenses
· Proficient in various computer applications
· Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
· Solid communication and interpersonal skills in person and on the phone
· Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license
· Must be able to sustain the physical demands of moving, standing, lifting heavy boxes and cleaning/sweeping
Preferred
· Prior floral industry experience
· Ability to speak Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
