Restaurant & Catering Manager Job at Ruckus Pizza
The manager is to oversee the delivery, catering and special events operation within their multi-unit restaurants. The idea candidate will lead all strategic and tactical matters as they relate special events- Including food quality control, employee performance, guest service, operational soundness and financial performance. The candidate needs to be a charismatic individual, passionate, entrepreneurial spirited, hands on leader able to oversee the details of delivery, catering and special events, build a team and lead with our brand core values. A high level of accountability is required.
Essential job functions:
- Develop a plan to advance the Company’s mission and objectives to promote revenue, profitability, and growth of special events.
- Develop plan to ensure the growth and longevity of delivery, catering and special events.
- Lead, grow and manage a team to meet and exceed all expectations
Progress
- Develop and Maintain a master calendar of deliveries and events.
- Responsible for all Guest interaction to include, building a menu, Guest Feedback and follow up and Thank You notes.
- Provide strategic support and tactical guidance to team on delivery, catering and special events. Uphold standards, and guidelines including service, product preparation, guest service, and employee development.
- Ensure all necessary administrative and accounting duties are handled promptly and accurately. § Prepare and oversee submissions of accurate daily, weekly, monthly paperwork, ensure cash handling procedures, maintain and control restaurant assets, and maintain food and beverage inventory prior to and after all special events.
- Develop and maintain a database of all special event guests. Also follow up on all special event inquiries.
- Have the ability to train and develop others to assist and manage Special Events.
- Assist in defining the standards and guidelines for Ruckus delivery, catering and special events.
- Able to travel to territory restaurants – that he/she is responsible for as required.

Requirements: - Undergraduate degree and/or 5+ years of restaurant operations.
- Experience running a lean operation where he/she is able to run a hands on operation.
- Must be able to demonstrate high initiative – flawless execution (doesn’t make excuses, able to reach restaurants attainable goals on time, on budget, to the stated metrics/measurements.
- Fast Casual dining experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to build relationships (community and internal), effectively communicate and positively influence direct reports, and other key constituents.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, able to demonstrate a good track record for flexibility and urgency in prioritizing and organizing projects.
- Strong financial acumen, analysis/problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Expert level skill with various operational point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Education and/or experience: · B.A./B.S. in restaurant management or related field or · 5+ years’ experience of restaurant management
Salary dependent on experience.
