The Busser is responsible for setting and resetting the dining room tables, assists with clearing tables and maintains the cleanliness of the restaurant dining room. Assists the servers when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform side-work as needed

• Reset tables according to specifications and standards of the restaurant

• Remove plates and silverware when guests are finished (prebus)

• Maintain positive guest relations at all times

• Work with a spirit of teamwork

• Communicate needs and ideas to management

• Perform side work as needed throughout shift

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies

• Make constant rounds of the restaurant ensuring all guest’s tables are attended to with regards to cleanliness, proper utensils, napkins, water supplies and condiments

• Ensuring the cleanliness of the restaurant is maintained to standards

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma preferred. Previous experience preferred. Additional certifications (ServSafe, TiPS, etc.) preferred.

LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, and REASONING ABILITIES

• Ability to understand guests’ service needs & requests in a polite manner

• Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written English (additional foreign languages are encouraged and preferred)

• Ability to apply logical thinking and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions

• Ability to address and solve problems involving guest and operational issues

• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
