Residential Valet/ Door Attendant

A luxury condominium building in Boston is seeking a valet/door attendant. Candidates should preferably have hospitality industry experience, valet experience, must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and be a motivated professional to provide a high level of personalized service to residents and their guests. Must be able to drive a manual transmission and be flexible, available days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The valet /door attendant will work closely with the Valet Supervisors, Concierge team and General Manager. The valet/door attendant will provide a first-class level of service, servicing the carport area entrance, opening the entrance doors for residents and guests, assisting with luggage and packages.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete knowledge of rules, regulations and policies.
• Anticipate residents and guests needs and the ability to focus on attention to detail.
• Welcome residents and guests as they arrive and depart from the property.
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exert physical effort in placing and removing luggage and packages to/from cars, including delivering packages to residences.
• Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
• Ability to withstand being outdoors and exposed to all weather conditions throughout assigned shifts.
• Be a team player and work cohesively as a part of the residential team.
• Provide a warm inviting greeting to all residents and guests at the property in a professional manner.
• Announce all guests to units.
• Become knowledgeable with building service providers, i.e., limousines, taxi, cleaners, pet services, food delivery and the like.
• Ensure that all contractors entering the front lobby are properly badged observing the policy that tools are not allowed through the front door.
• Enforce the building rules and regulations as provided by the General Manager. Ensure that all contractors have security badges before entering the building.
• Carefully monitor all security and life safety systems and report problems to Valet Services Manager as well as the General Manager.
• Perform duties as requested by Lead Concierge and or General Manager.
• Ensure personal appearance is always immaculate; uniform clean crisp and shoes are polished.

Experience:

• Possess a Wealth of knowledge about the area of which the property is locate (i.e. Restaurants, transportation, events, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in luxury service and hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills
• Take pride in their professional appearance, their service role, and commitment of service excellence.
• Have outstanding communication skills – from professional writing to eloquence of speech and body language.
• Be able to demonstrate a proven history of reliability to a set work schedule.
• Bring an extremely engaging and attentive personality to a team of highly motivated hospitality professionals.
