Research Student PD Job at Lifespan
Research Student reports to the Principal Investigator or assigned program manager/supervisor providing assistance to the project staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
Research duties may include:
- Consenting patients and families
- Scheduling participants
- Data entry and analysis
- Preparing submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
- Screening research participants
- Administering rating scales
- Administering diagnostic and qualitative interviews to study participants.
- Monitoring compliance with ecological momentary assessment
- Drafting study progress reports for funders
- Participation in multidisciplinary discussions regarding research design and implementation is expected.
Observe all hospital policies rules and regulations.
Performs other related duties as required assigned or directed.
Other information:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Must be a matriculating student in an accredited college program.
Basic understanding of computer programs including Microsoft Office Word and Excel may be necessary.
A career interest in clinical psychology or related field.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
Past research experience (preferred).
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well with adolescents and parents.
Willingness to tackle complex tasks in an independent manner.
EXPERIENCE:
For basic research programs prior exposure/experience within laboratory setting (which may include from laboratory work within educational experience).
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Virtual work normal office and/or lab environment. Requires standing bending and sitting. Sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to use computer keyboard and other common office equipment.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
All work should be under direct supervision of senior faculty member or designee.

None.
