Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist
  • Must be certified in the area or willing to obtain the appropriate certification through ADE.
  • Work 190 day contract beginning in August.
  • Provide FAPE to preschool students by managing a caseload.
  • Candidates must be able to travel and provide services in a variety of locations throughout NWA to serve students ages 3 through five.
  • Conduct assessments to determine students eligibility for speech language services using Arkansas Department of Education guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and detailed documentation on student services.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to write evaluation reports and due process as required by state and federal regulations.

Early Childhood Special Education Te acher

  • Work 190 day contract beginning in August.
  • Manage a caseload of around 45 students which may be in multiple locations throughout NWA.
  • Conduct assessments to determine students eligibility for special education services.
  • Schedule and lead parent conferences professionally.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records on student services.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to write evaluation reports and prepare due process as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Support the team by collaborating and effectively communicating with other professionals to support student success.

PARAPROFESSIONAL/LANGUAGE FACILITATOR

Under general supervision, provides communication support services to hearing impaired students mainstreamed in the school system. The Language Facilitator’s primary responsibility is to facilitate communication among hearing impaired students and their hearing peers, the classroom teacher, and other school personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Willing to learn sign language vocabulary to assist students.

Facilitates communication between the hearing impaired student and his peers and the student and adults in the educational environment.

Monitors student’s comprehension and documents needs and problems encountered.

Studies the content of the lessons prior to class to ensure accurate representation of the lesson.

Tutors students who are hard of hearing under the direction of the teacher. Provides feedback to teachers upon request.

Serves as liaison to promote positive and cooperative relationships within the school environment.

Oversees daily maintenance and use of assistive devices performing simple troubleshooting as necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Early Childhood Behavior Specialist

Early Childhood Behavior Specialists will conduct interviews with stakeholders, analyze data to determine appropriate interventions/supports when needed, and will provide research based, targeted interventions /ongoing monitoring. The Behavior Specialist will analyze Data tracking logs that are required from stakeholders in order to analyze data and make informed decisions that are research based.
Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education with Master’s Degree in Behavior and/or Master’s Degree or Higher in School Psychology Specialist Degree
  • Specialized knowledge in working with challenging behaviors with preschool special education students and working with all types of stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that include the ability to present with live audience or virtual model of audience
  • Willingness to travel throughout Northwest Arkansas
Administrative Assistant/Medicaid Billing
  • Track and keep accurate records to support efficient operations.
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge about scanning and organizing records in Google Drive.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Supports the team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
  • Obtains scripts for billing Medicaid services.
  • Is accurate and efficient at using Medicaid software to bill for services.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests from staff and school districts related to records.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Paraprofessional

The Early Childhood Program at NWAESC is looking for a person who wants to work with young children who have disabilities. The candidate must be patient, eager to learn, and dependable. The position may require sitting on the floor, lifting, changing diapers, etc. Prior preschool curriculum knowledge and/or training in the education field is preferred. This position is part-time and candidate must report to a school in Huntsville area.
