Job Title: Reporting Specialist

Department: Information Technology

Accountability: This Position Reports to the I.T. Manager

Job Description/Duties:

• Coordinate with interested parties to determine reporting needs
• Align user requests with organizational needs to provide the minimum reasonable number of reports that accomplish all goals
• Prioritize report creation based upon organizational value, considering factors such as ROI, risk reduction, and consistency with organizational strategy
• Create flexible, user-friendly reports aligned with business needs and user requests
• Support and/or implement data import and export requirements
• Ensure new and existing reports are organized well, and easy to find and maintain
• Maintain and improve reports as needed
• Recommend improvements to tools and processes for the betterment of the organization
• Other related duties as needed or assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Experience constructing reports using one or more major reporting systems (ideally Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Microsoft Power BI)
• Proficient in constructing complex SQL queries to obtain and distill data
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of accounting principles and how to implement them in software
• General understanding of business processes, including sales commissions, purchasing, and various manufacturing-related processes
• Ability to work and communicate with professionals across all levels of the organization
• Effective time management and independently work ethic
• Attention to detail
• General programming knowledge
