Units: MED SURG

Experience: 2 years recent RN experience. Current/like experience Travel RN experience preferred

Shift: Rotating shifts - Days/Nights rotation

Responsibilities

• Studying patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
• Tracking routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.
• Monitoring, interpreting, and recording data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.
• Administering medication and performing treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists.
• Maintaining and updating ward charts, patient files, and medical records.
• Instructing Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborating with healthcare specialists and reporting changes and deteriorating conditions.
• Explaining tests results and procedures to patients and their families, as well as answering questions.
• Advising patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, home care protocols, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.

Requirements

• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) including compact and any relevant unit specific certification requirement
• BLS and through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

Certification Requirements:

• State License
• Immunizations

Due to Point of Care Testing duties associated with this position, upon hire, a copy of highest level of education (diploma, degree, or transcripts) would be required to present to the hiring manager. If this is available to you at this time, please attach it with your resume in one document.

These position's pay range starts at: $95/per hour with housing and travel stipend. An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
