Westgate Hills Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in beautiful Havertown, PA is currently hiring for a Registered Nurse Supervisor 11pm-7am shift, full time.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in coordinating and supervising all services on assigned units to achieve a comfortable and homelike atmosphere for the residents.
- The RN Supervisor regularly rounds on nursing units that includes but is not limited to: checking in with licensed and unlicensed staff, checking residents who are acutely ill or actively dying, greeting all new admissions.
- The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in creating a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances resident care and quality of life. Provide support and direction for nurses including, but not limited to: assisting in assessment and care planning for residents who may be experiencing a change in condition, assisting with task management and setting priorities, providing education, obtaining appropriate supplies/medications.
- The RN Supervisor facilitates communication between licensed nurses and providers, responsible parties or outside vendors as needed to ensure resident care needs are appropriately met.
- The RN Supervisor assures complete and accurate documentation through spot-checking and on-going supervision.
- The RN Supervisor responds to, assist with and document facility emergencies.
- The Registered Nurse Supervisor facilitates communication between shift staff and unit managers/DON/ADON.
- The RN Supervisor assists in direct resident care and work as a staff nurse, as necessary.
- The RN Supervisor prepares/administers performance reviews for shift staff in consultation with unit managers; provide correction/re-education to shift staff as needed.
