This role works in the Commercial Farm/Ranch enterprise product area. Responsibilities include management of a multi-state territory, covering existing commercial lines products across multiple operating companies and distribution channels within the assigned territory.Works with peers to identify new or enhanced insurance products, services and customer innovations Utilizes market research data to identify, analyze, and evaluate markets, products, or services that are potential areas for the company to enter. Develops and executes strategic plans for entry into new markets or the development and introduction of new or enhanced commercial products and services. Prepares or modifies contract language, develops initial underwriting guidelines and standards and oversees development of predictive analytics including pricing models and other predictive models. Accountable for commercial product premium volume growth and profitability. Analyzes data and information to recommend actions to improve profitability. Will manage relationship of every aspect of assigned product through interaction with relevant departments.
Job Description:
Product Management Specialization
- Develops action plans and implements long-term strategies in support of the overall product strategy.
- Will have full P&L accountability for assigned territory.
- Provides strategic direction for functional areas and maintains alignment with other product managers to ensure successful development of the entire product line.
- Provides the product and profit and growth linkage with the geographic operating state for all operating companies and alliance products.
- Leads others towards the identification of valid root causes of business issues, develops solutions and drives the execution of plan implementation.
- Manages operational planning and rate revisions, accountable for achieving profit and growth goals.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationship with other lines to avoid product overlaps or gaps and determines opportunities.
- Leads projects or initiatives that supports profitability and growth.
- Strengthens partnerships with commercial lines national teams as well as other product business areas.
- Strategically plans/schedules rate reviews and major projects.
This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on the selected candidate’s location. Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
- Demonstrated experience developing insurance product/line of business strategies.
- Extensive knowledge of leveraging customer, market and competitor intelligence.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with lean innovation or other development/innovation approaches.
- Extensive knowledge of market research and marketplace and regulatory trends.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of product design and product management.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of advanced financial and data analysis techniques.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 10% of the time.
