*How hard is the driver unload?
It is a challenging hard job but is very financially rewarding and great exercise, it can take some time to acclimate to the unload. We will support you thought the whole process!
*What States do I deliver to?
PA, NY (no NYC), NJ, DE, MD
*When is my home time and 34 hour reset?
95% of the time it will include a weekend day but due to HOS or customer needs it could be any day of the week, we do get you home weekly.
*What shift will I work?
With most DT deliveries starting in the early AM you will either be driving to your first stop the night before and taking a reset or driving in the early morning to make on time delivery. From there you will deliver throughout the day to multiple DT stores.
*When can I take a Vacation?
After 1 year you will get 1 week of vacation and after 2 years, you can take 2 weeks of vacation. And after 7 years, 3 weeks. This totals up to 4 weeks at 10 years!
*What kind of truck will I get?
Our fleet is comprised of Internationals, Freightliners and Kenworths

If you live within the hiring area of Berwick, PA, you could be the perfect dedicated driver to add to our Dollar Tree team! Some of the best parts of being a dedicated driver are getting home WEEKLY, and driving/delivering an average of 3 loads per week. You can earn a true up of $2000 per week - $100k salary annually! Must be available for your full work week to get the full true up.

As part of the Dollar Tree dedicated team, you’ll run dry, touch freight to various Dollar Tree locations in PA, MD, NY, NJ, DE – No NYC! Each trailer averages 4000 pieces total and is 100% touch freight, with the driver manually unloading all freight . Drivers will average 1100 miles per week.

Runs will include nights, weekends, and holidays that fall within your work week. Routes also typically require 1-4 stops per day. You will get a 34hr reset each week, but it may not always be on the weekend.

But being a dedicated driver is no easy task. So, the way we see it, you deserve vacation time more than anyone. That’s why after a year on the account, you can take a week of paid vacation. Two weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 7 years and after 10 years, 4 weeks. Vacation pay is equal to your 52 week average, so working extra will increase your vacation pay

If you choose to join the team, you’ll go through a short orientation to help get you started on the right foot. And you’ll get paid to do it. You will receive 2 days of ride-along training at $150/per day. During this ride along process, you will be assisting a seasoned Dollar Tree driver. They will teach you the ins and outs of working with the stores, paperwork, rollers and unloading. These guys are the best on the account and can help answer any questions you may have.

$2000 TRUE UP

• Drivers must be available 5.5 days and not reject any loads given to them – this includes backhauls.
• Drivers must be on time to the first store for every load.
• Drivers must communicate any delays to the office because if any store rolls to the next day with no communication – no true up
• Drivers may not go home in between loads without permission. Permission will only be granted if driver is 50 miles or less from home. If driver goes home without permission – no true up and driver will be charged OOR.
• Breakdowns:

– If truck breaks down due to driver issue (negligence, preventable accident) – driver does not get true up instead would receive $50 per day AFTER the first 24 hours. If driver goes home – there is no breakdown pay. Driver will only receive breakdown pay if they stay with the truck or in a hotel by the repair facility.
– If truck goes into the shop for preventative maintenance, or non-driver issue – driver is still eligible for true up.
