Quality Inspector Job at Staffchex, Inc
Summary: The Quality inspector inspects products and materials, either purchased, machined, fabricated, or assembled electronics and mechanical products for compliance throughout in-process and/or final inspection to specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Inspects parts and assemblies to verify compliance to electromechanical requirements, specifications in accordance with work instructions and engineering drawings.
· Inspects printed circuit board assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610.
· Inspects complex cable assemblies to verify compliance to IPC-A-620 standards, engineering, manufacturing drawings requirements and work instructions.
· Perform final inspection activities to visually inspect parts and verify associated labeling and certifications.
· Completes paperwork/ records and computer entries for inspection and receiving records.
· Interprets work instructions, drawings, and schematics to identify and verify terminations, polarity, and wire routing.
· Performs other duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· 3-5 years’ experience as a QA inspector in commercial, aerospace, medical or automotive manufacturing environment.
· Certification for IPC-A-610/ 620 preferred
· Should have strong knowledge and strong ability to read and understand product drawings, blueprints, and applicable specifications.
· Experience with standard inspection tools such as micrometer, calipers, gauge indicators, etc.
· Visual acuity required for visual inspection attributes.
· Able to read, write and verbally communicate in English and interface with all departments effectively.
· Utilize microscope for extended periods for close visual inspection of parts and assemblies.
Work Conditions:
· Requires working in different working environments. Must be able to withstand abrupt changes in temperature at work.
· Capable of withstanding long hours of sitting.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $14.50 - $18.50 per hour
