We are looking for experienced Quailty Assurance Manager, for our Hazlehurst Facility. This position report to the Corporate FSQA Manager .
Annual Salary depends on experience ; also comes with a potential Monthly Performance Incentive.
Quailty Assurance Manager
The Quality Assurance Manager is part of the plant management team responsible for providing strategic leadership, guidance, and risk management for all plant food safety and quality programs. This team member will oversee all plant food safety and quality assurance program systems, personnel, and activites.
Essential Job Functions:
·Provide leadership, guidance, and risk management for plant food safety and quality
programs and systems to include, but not limited to, HACCP, Preventative Controls, SQF
or other BRC-related programs, USDA Process Verified Program and customer or 3rd
party audit-driven requirements and policies.
- Responsible for proper compliance, development, revision, and maintenance of all SQF,
other BRC-related plans, quality programs, supporting programs, and documentation.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all customers related quality requirements and
acting as a liaison between customers and the facility.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal poultry, sanitation, and HACCP
regulations and liaison between the FSIS and the facility when required.
- Provide scientific expertise and serve as a subject matter expert for programs and
activities related to food safety/microbiology, regulations, and quality systems.
- Lead, supervise, and manage FSQA management and direct-reporting personnel,
ensuring continuing professional development, training, and overall employee wellbeing
- Provide technical support to corporate senior management, Sales and Production
Management.
- Provide oversight and technical support for export sales and compliance.
- Manage departmental budgets and track departmental expenditures.
- All other requests, projects or task as directed.
- Reports to the Corporate FS/QA Manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 5+ years working in a FS/QA management role, preferably in the poultry processing
industry, with specific experience managing HACCP and SQF programs. Commensurate
time in an educational program will be considered to meet this requirement.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience developing and managing HACCP,
Preventative Controls, GMP, SSOP, SQF and/or other BRC and customer-driven quality
and food safety requirements and programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of USDA-FSIS regulations and requirements for meat and
poultry processing.
- Must be a professional, customer driven manager of producing high quality food
products while achieving company objectives.
- Strong leadership and management skills in a high paced environment.
- Demonstrated success managing and or supervising multi-disciplinary teams and
programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of statistical process controls.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Excellent team building, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
- Ability to follow direction of Corporate FS/QA Manager
- Ability to effectively communicate up and down the department hierarchy ladde
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
· Bilingual and fluent in Spanish is a plus
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Poultry Science, Business Management or other closely related field of study or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
· 5+ year(s) production experience; poultry industry experience preferred.
· Proficient technology, computer, mathematics, and analysis skills.
· Ability to create and comprehend Excel spreadsheets.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Excellent leadership skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
