Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Adult or Child/Adolescent will be to assist the Chief Medical Officer in the delivery of an effective, efficient program of psychiatric services to adults and children, with particular emphasis on services essential to psychopharmacological services; effective diversion to outpatient community-based programs; liaison with medical community; team consultation; integration of primary and behavioral health care; and promotion of quality assured managed care service system. Will be providing outpatient services to adults and/or children including conducting medication evaluations and checks.

Qualifications:

Including but not limited to:

• A medical or osteopathic degree from an accredited medical school;
• Completion of a residency in a qualified setting;
• Licensure in the State of Kansas;
• Board certification or eligibility in adult psychiatry and/or child psychiatry;
• Desired experience in an outpatient psychiatry practice, preferably a community mental health center;
• A philosophical commitment to and exceptional skill in an interdisciplinary service delivery system;
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to interacting with diverse populations;
• An entrepreneurial perspective toward mental health service delivery;
• A commitment and desire to serve the purposes of community mental health; and
• Flexibility in assigned working hours and an energetic and positive approach to the challenges of a complex and changing work place.
