Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is needed for our facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The business culture is friendly, respectful, and positive. We are an innovative business seeking innovative employees! The Manhattan Center for Headache and Neurology specializes in the treatment of headaches and migraines. Our center offers mental health services as an extension of care to our neurology/headache patients. Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is expected to grow the mental health segment of the center and is knowledgeable with prescription management, behavioral approaches, and talk therapy. Biofeedback certification is a plus, training and certification may be provided by the center for the right individual. We are looking for the right practitioner who loves what they do, will work hard to build their schedule and implement our mission which is to offer the best care to our patients within a holistic setting. Hard work is acknowledged and rewarded! Nurse Practitioner responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• prescribing medications*
• managing patients by phone as appropriate**
• maintaining accurate and current patient records**
• working in collaboration with the physician on patient care.**
• Schedule weekly follow ups**
• Ability to transition a new patient consultation to weekly, bi monthly, monthly patients.**
• Ability to retain patients and maintain a full schedule*

Nurse Practitioner Skills and Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing*
• Valid Psych Nurse Practitioner New York State license**
• DEA license**
• Minimum of 2 years Psych NP experience**
• ability to work within a team and take direction**
• must be familiar with the EHR medical charting systems**
• excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills**
• want to promote their own professional growth and development within a medical office setting*
