Kelly Engineering, Outsourcing Consulting Group KellyOCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Engineering Project Manager for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Raynham, MA.
This role is ha full-time, fully benefitted position. As a KellyOCG employee you will be eligible for 50% paid Medical and Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. As an Engineering Project Manager placed with KellyOCG you will be responsible for the following: Working in the Product Development team the qualified candidate for this position should excel in a medical device environment that embraces teamwork, change, risk-based decision making and flexibility. This individual should be willing to make a significant contribution to a cross functional team, must be self-motivated to take action, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate will help to support efforts to ensure EU MDR compliance.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To coordinate activities within the assigned projects in accordance with Company objectives. This includes project planning, executing plans, implementing improvement measures and ongoing support.
The Engineering Project Manager will work closely with the functional business partners to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the solutions deployed in support of the business goals and objectives.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track project progress with regard to the accomplishment level of deliverables assigned to cross functional resources
- Support the definition of project scope and deliverables, milestones and timeline, project risks and contingency plans.
- Collaborates with enterprise-wide business partners to build and execute well-structured program/project plans.
- Use expert communication and leadership skills to establish a common understanding of the project timelines, milestones and expectations on delivery.
- Collect feedback from stakeholders to identify pain points in procedures and forms, leading to the definition of actions for their improvement
- Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the
- highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
- Additional duties as required and assigned.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years’ experience with project management tools, e.g., MS Project, and project management methodologies
- Experience with PLM and ERP tools.
- Experience preferred in executing projects with Agile/Scrum and with project execution tools such as Kanban boards.
- Experience in continuous improvement of operation processes is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in medical device industry especially with project management, regulatory, quality or engineering
- Knowledge of Design History Files and Technical Files, FDA and MDR requirements. Experience with registrations in further global markets would be an asset
- Strong understanding of Project Risk Management process, change management is desired
- International experience preferred
- Proven exceptional written and oral communication skills
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's (minimum 5 years’ experience) or Master’s (minimum 3 year of experience) Degree in engineering or life sciences is required; or Advanced Degree (PhD with 1-2 years of experience) is preferred.
- Certificates in Program/Project Management (PMI PMP, Agile Scrum Master) will enhance candidacy but are not a requirement
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge and skills in MS Office
- Familiarity with structure and content of Technical Documentation for medical device
- Must be highly organized, creative, articulate, and analytical
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
- Ability to getting things done through others
- Ability to moderate meetings and elicit stakeholder feedback
- Ability to work autonomously independently with minimal supervision for achievement of assigned goals
- Must have solid understanding of project management methodologies
- Candidate will support efforts to ensure EU MDR compliance.
- Must have a strong compliance background and experience with Medical Device Regulations.
- This individual should have a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage a varied workload, exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and interface effectively with project teams, management and surgeons.
- Experience working within a regulated industry is required; and Medical Device, Spine or Orthopedic experience is preferred.
- The ability to work and execute projects tasks within a cross functional environment is required.
- Prior experience working cross functional project teams, bringing products from concept to launch, is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and program managers.
- Proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) is required.
