Medical Device Technician (Device Testing)

Position Description
The Medical Device Assembler (Device Testing) will be a key member of the production team responsible for making Diversatek’s next generation medical gastrointestinal diagnostic products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly come up to speed on existing production and testing processes and be motivated to help develop and improve these processes. This is an assembly position with a focus on in-process and final product testing.

  • Job Type: Full-time, first shift
  • Pay: $22-30/hour
  • Reports to: Production Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test, inspect, create reports, and troubleshoot medical device electromechanical assemblies in a production environment
  • Build medical device electromechanical assemblies in a production environment following good manufacturing practices
  • Test and troubleshoot finished devices returned under warranty
  • Become proficient in all areas of the probe production and testing process with the ability and flexibility to perform each process
  • Gather, maintain, and compile shop orders and technical data from production tests as necessary to fulfill documentation requirements
  • Communicate effectively with engineering and production manager
  • Other tasks as assigned

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years of experience as an assembler/inspector working in an R&D and/or production environment
  • Basic electronics troubleshooting
  • Must be able to solder fine pitch components
  • Must be able to perform small scale assembly under a microscope
  • Must be comfortable using a microscope for inspection and assembly for the majority of a working shift
  • Very strong hand/eye coordination
  • Very strong attention to process detail
  • Proficient in using a PC and using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be a highly detail-oriented person with strong organizational and strong communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to meet production schedules and quality standards
