The Production Supervisor is responsible for driving accountability and enforcing expectations within field operations execution. The Supervisor takes overall direction from the Shift Superintendent and can be utilized refinery wide as needed. This role may be responsible for supervising multiple teams.
Responsibilities May Include
Supervising safe, reliable and environmentally sound operations of several refinery processing units
Accountable for the safety and environmental performance of the shift team
Knowing safety and environmental policies and ensuring compliance
Addressing safety concerns on shift
Driving Operations to meet targets daily
Understanding unit procedures and refinery protocols and ensuring usage
Conducting various audits including field audits of equipment; ensuring audits are documented and communicating findings
Being a pro-active problem solver; troubleshooting during shift
Ensuring procedures/protocols are followed as required; approving deviations
Coaching and counseling employees when necessary
Conducting reviews with operators for knowledge building and feedback
Entering notifications for required maintenance items
Driving repairs, i.e., LDAR, off-hours as necessary
Communicating timely and clearly with all levels of the organization
Being a member of Emergency Response Team(s)
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver’s license
3 or more years of experience in direct refinery process operations
Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation to:
+ Wear Nomex fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment such as steel-toe shoes, ear, and eye protection
+ Work a 12-hour rotating shift, which includes some weekends and holidays
+ Maintain face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
+ Work outdoors and possibly in inclement weather conditions
+ Lift and transport materials up to 50 pounds
+ Climb up to 300 feet in height
+ Bend, stop, perform moderate manual labor, work in confined spaces, and work at various levels above the ground
+ Practice safe work practices and procedures

Prior Console Supervisor experience
The Bayway Refinery is located on the New York Harbor in Linden, New Jersey. Bayway's facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, solvent deasphalting, hydrodesulfurization and alkylation units. The complex also includes a polypropylene plant with the capacity to produce up to 775 million pounds per year. The refinery processes mainly light and medium, low-sulfur crude oil. Foreign crude oil is supplied to the refinery by tanker, and domestic crude oil is supplied through a combination of rail and marine transportation. Within the refinery, Phillips 66 Partners has a rail receiving facility with 75,000 BPD of offloading capacity. The refinery produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petrochemical feedstocks, residual fuel oil and home heating oil. Refined products are distributed to East Coast customers by pipeline, barge, rail car and truck.
