Job Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overall communication between the restaurant group and outside vendors. Overall responsibilities of our Procurement Manager include sourcing quality products and ingredients necessary for business at the best price possible. Our Procurement Manager will be working with current vendors on inventory maintenance and delivery schedules and possibly finding new vendors to help the restaurant group with supply chain needs.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions/Abilities
- Reviews cost proposals and pricing information.
- Source ingredients and products for LTOs, seasonal offerings, specials etc.
- Bid new contracts and establish new relationships with vendors based on needs.
- Work with vendors regularly on delivery schedules, issues and communications.
- Work with stores and vendors to identify product outages, shortages and possible sub options for the team.
- Streamline the ordering process by consolidating vendors to minimize the number of individual vendors we work with.
- Evaluates competence of vendors and reviews their invoices for accuracy.
- Maintains database regarding vendors’ performance and quality of product(s).
- Updates and maintains order guides and Inventory information with the most updated price and products for proper ordering and costing.
- Partners with NSO and Ops team on new store openings accounts and initial ordering.
- Partners with Marketing and Ops on branded packaging needs, promotional items etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent administrative skills.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
- Three years of relevant experience required in supply chain, procurement/purchasing field.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
