Probe Production Technician Job at MadgeTech, Inc
POSITION SUMMARY
The Probe Production Technician will be responsible for hands-on building and testing of probes. The Probe Production Technician will
help in the effort of bringing all MadgeTech probes in house.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the Probe Production Technician include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to use Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings and work instructions to build products within
- Ability to operate all wire stripping equipment within the probe department.
- Responsible for operating test equipment
- Ability to use arc welder and soldering irons when needed
- Ability to operate the lathe equipment within the probe department
- Inspects probes, using microscope, to detect defects, such as loose wiring and loose, split, or worn probes
- Ability to operate Kiln, solder pot, and heat gun.
- Ability to use dispensing equipment
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Other duties assigned by leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) of the Probe Production Technician
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Experienced with the manipulation of small parts.
- Electronic wiring and soldering skills
- Mechanical ability
- Assembly work in a manufacturing environment; where blueprint reading is required
- Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
- Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
